AUSTIN SAILSBURY- his experience

Austin Sailsbury  is a writer and creative consultant based in Copenhagen, he wrote about her experience at Due Ghiri farm on August 2012…..

In Italy an “Agriturismo” is a working farm that also hosts guests. Similar to a bed and breakfast, agristurismos serve meals everyday and grow / raise much of their own food. So, in the Liguria region (near Cinque Terre) of Italy that means cherries, grapes for making wine, olives, turkeys, chickens, and a host of other goodies. Family style dinner (always including local wine and handmade pasta) was served nightly in “the cave,” and breakfast of cake, coffee, and jam were always served on the porch.

A truly “authentic” travel experience; our favorite part of staying at “I Due Ghiri” was spending time with our wonderful hosts Gaia and Stefano – real hardworking Italians who were always ready to share a story, a walk through the farm, or a glass of wine.
